Lifetime Achievement Award Nominations

As you consider who might be eligible for your nomination, please keep in mind the following criteria. The LDSPMA Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes individuals who . . .

  • have made outstanding positive contributions to the world through publishing, media, or the arts;
  • have promoted and personally exhibited excellence for many years in their field;
  • are an inspiration, mentor, and supporter for others;
  • and have created works that are known and beneficial in Latter-day Saint communities and that support Latter-day Saint standards of “being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and . . . doing good to all men” (Article of Faith 1:13).

Additionally, we welcome nominations for all genders, ethnicities, and backgrounds and hope to continually represent the rich diversity within the Church over the years. We ask that nominated individuals be active members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Lifetime Achievement Award nominations are kept in perpetuity and may be considered for a future year even if the individual is not awarded this year.

Which industry are you nominating an individual from?

The publishing industry includes the following: writers, poets, editors, publishers, and designers who work in fiction and/or nonfiction.

The media industry includes the following: picture book/graphic novel authors and illustrators, journalists and broadcasters, bloggers, producers (e.g., podcasts and audiobooks), filmmakers, dancers, and music video producers.

The arts industry includes the following: musicians, composers, and arrangers of all instruments and genres, live perfomers, producers and production team members of the performing arts, and visual artists who work in 2D and/or 3D mediums.
