Interactive Sessions offer hands-on opportunities to engage directly with industry professionals through Fast Pitch, Real-Time Reactions, and Quick Critiques.
These experiences are designed to give you immediate feedback, practical insight, and hands-on experience.
Fast Pitch
Fast Pitch is a structured, timed opportunity for authors to present their book directly to a publishing professional and receive immediate feedback.
Whether you’re refining your pitch or testing a new idea, this experience helps you gain clarity, confidence, and direction.
• Deliver a 3–4 minute pitch for your book project
• Receive 5–7 minutes of direct feedback from a publishing professional or literary agent
• Gain insight into how your project is perceived in the industry
• Refine your pitch and next steps based on expert input
Who it’s for:
Fast Pitch is designed specifically for authors with book projects. Participants must be registered conference attendees.
How it works
Participants will sign up for Fast Pitch during conference registration beginning April 24. Scheduling will take place closer to the event, with time slots assigned in the order registrations are received.
Each participant will be scheduled for a brief, one-on-one pitch session with an industry professional.

Real-Time Reactions
Real-Time Reactions are live, interactive sessions where industry professionals review submitted materials and share immediate feedback in a group setting.
These sessions offer a unique opportunity to see how professionals evaluate work in real time—what stands out, what needs improvement, and why.
Unlike Fast Pitch, participants do not present live. Instead, selected submissions are reviewed anonymously, allowing everyone in the room to learn from the feedback.
How it works:
Attendees may submit materials in advance for consideration. Selected pieces will be reviewed live during designated breakout session times, with panelists offering candid, constructive feedback.
There is no additional cost to participate, but submission is required to be considered for review.
