As you may know, on December 3, 2024, Mali McKenzie, newly named as one of LDSPMA's vice presidents after several years of dedicated service to the organization, shockingly passed away after a brief battle with an aggressive infection. She was one of those great treasures of life, temporarily lost to us. Mali epitomized the happy and brave warrior for Christ’s gospel. She radiated the “Good News,” amplifying it with a dedication to serving her brothers and sisters that knew few matches. Latter-day Saints in Publishing, Media, and the Arts was one of the beneficiaries of her shining spirit, which will live on as we emulate her example. LDSPMA's Board of Directors has created the Mali McKenzie Award for Exemplary Service, which is presented annually to one of our many wonderful, dedicated volunteers. Award nominations for 2026 are now open. If you would like to nominate someone currently within our volunteer ranks or who recently served with us, please provide the following by August 1, 2026. The Board will evaluate the nominations and make a selection before our October conference. The award will be presented Friday morning of the conference.
