Empowering Latter-day Saints to spread light and truth by connecting them at the intersection of faith, creativity, and professional skill
D.John (Dave) Butler has been a lawyer, a consultant, an editor, a corporate trainer, and a registered investment banking representative, and he is now the Editor in Chief of Plain and Precious Publishing and a Senior Editor for Ark Press. He is the author of twenty published novels and four nonfiction books, as well as assorted shorter fiction. His novels have won the Whitney Award, the Association for Mormon Letters Award for Novel, and the Dragon Award. His nonfiction includes three books about the temple and the Book of Mormon—Plain and Precious Things, The Goodness and the Mysteries, and In the Language of Adam—as well as The Politically Incorrect Guide to Science Fiction and Fantasy. Dave also organizes writing retreats and anarcho-libertarian writers’ events, and travels the country to sell books. He tells many stories as a gamemaster with a gaming group, some of whom he’s been playing with since sixth grade. He plays guitar and banjo whenever he can, and likes to hang out in Utah with his wife, their children, and the family dogs.
