What We Are Looking For
We are seeking session proposals across a variety of creative and professional disciplines. Proposals should align with one or more of the following industry tracks:
- Fiction Writing
- Nonfiction Writing
- Editing & Design
- Marketing
- Business
- Media
- Visual Arts
- Performing Arts
- Musical Arts
- General Interest (limited availability)
Please note: General Interest sessions are limited and may close once capacity is reached. We encourage presenters to select a specific industry track whenever possible.
Sessions may cover both foundational or advanced topics, including craft, practical how-to instruction, and the business and professional aspects of creative work.
See our 2025, 2024, 2023, and 2022 list of sessions for an idea of the kinds of topics our presenters address.
High-quality sessions usually have the following:
- Specific, expert, and actionable information
- Specific outcomes attendees can achieve by attending the session
- Examples drawn from your career and professional work
- Illustrative metrics and data, when possible
- Advanced information for those already familiar with the basics of the topic
- Tie-ins to principles and doctrines of the gospel of Jesus Christ, as appropriate
- Engagement with the audience through discussion, exercises, humor, etc.
- Handouts listing specific resources or takeaways, if applicable
* Please note: Sessions should not include sales pitches or vague or basic topics that can easily be found through general online searches
Pre-Recorded Session Option (Preferred)
Preconference classes and conference sessions are typically recorded live. When possible, we prefer presenters also provide a pre-recorded version of their session.
Pre-recorded sessions work best for instructional or presentation-based content. We understand that some sessions rely on discussion or live interaction. In those cases, presenters may record only the non-discussion portions of the session.
Providing a pre-recorded option helps:
- Reduce technical issues that can occur during live recording
- Ensure higher-quality audio and video for attendees
- Allow presenters to practice their sessions in advance
- Give presenters the option to review their recordings and request feedback
Participation in pre-recording is optional but preferred. We are happy to assist with the recording process and can support presenters using Zoom or other recording methods as needed.
Benefits of Speaking
Speakers receive complimentary conference registration and the opportunity to sell books and other items through the conference bookstore.
